  11.      Does anyone know whether the Sportster's V.34+ internal modems have:

  13. a) just a 16550 UART, or
  14.  
  15. b) a 16550 UART plus additional ram buffering, or
  16.  
  17. c) a 16550 emulation that is superior to either of the above.

  19.      I'm still trying to decide between the internal or the external, and the
  20. only advantage to an internal for me would be if it is capable of superior
  21. performance (I am *assuming* that the external has no ram).
  22.  
  23.      I will be using it exclusively for connecting to ISP's. My current ISP
  24. uses Ascend 28.8 digital modems, but I may be connecting to ISP's with USR
  25. Couriers in the future.
